Cheryl Rodes
Wake up, kickass, go to bed, do it all over again. That’s pretty much how Cheryl Rodes rolls. A true and native L.A. creative, who loves everything from writing poetry to spending hours coloring an epic mandala, she honed and cultivated her crafts in acting, writing and directing, with a Bachelors in Theatre/Playwriting from The Claire Trevor School of Arts at UC Irvine and a Masters in Writing for Film and Television from USC. In her spare time she indulges her addiction to fitness with spin, kickboxing, weightlifting and hot yoga. She loves being an impact player, a social contributor via charity efforts and a wonderful mother of two. She makes movies to make a difference, writing for women from a woman’s perspective. She is the founder of Unpaved Rodes, an entertainment company dedicated to making sure SHE IS THE HERO in every story. Cheryl hosts She Called Action, a podcast and IGTV channel, that shares the stories of strong women making a difference in the entertainment industry. She envisions a future where women and men embrace each other for their differences and are equally leading with a socially conscious mindset. She sits on the Board of The New Hollywood, is a Board Member of ALZ OUT, an organization that accelerates the pace to capture a cure to end Alzheimer's and Dementia, and is a committee member of the USC School of Cinematic Arts Alumni Network.
